Book Four in The Diaries of Guardia series
With Bleddyn and Rhynne guiding the Nor’land survivors to Lierwick, Rye
and company ride into the battered Midlands kingdom. While the Midlands’ army
is putting good front, not all is well in court. With the Burgrave and his wife
unable to produce an heir, the Burgrave’s brother, a Raggedite sympathiser, is
poised to take the throne and change the tide of the revolution. Faced with her
sister and the family that abandoned her to the vicious fairy, Aponae, Cheeva
must decide if she can give up her most precious treasure in order to stem the
Raggedite influence.
As Rye and the Burgrave discuss strategy to drive back the
Raggedite, Tamara throws herself into battle alongside the Midlands army. A
move that finds her the captive of the Raggedite army, and will see her scarred
in more ways than one.
Lorded as the iconic Royalist couple, and with the hint of a
wedding in the air, Lily and Laklas face their own private war. As Laklas draws
closer to proposing, Lily pulls further away. And her affections might just be
switching back to an old crush.
With Kered growing more and more capable every day, Jamie
withdraws from Mirrside to avoid the question he fears the most. And with the
rumour of Tamara’s capture reaching his ears, he travels with the newly
appointed Chevalier, Jermaine, to help push forward the battle for the
Midlands.
